not included. Respected British actress Judi Dench, born Judith Olivia Dench in 1934, has
been nominated for numerous acting awards, winning three British Academy of Film and
Television Arts Awards (A Room With a View, 1986; A Handful of Dust, 1988; and Iris,
2001),an Oscar (Shakespeare in Love, 1998), seven Laurence Olivier Awards for acting
(Macbeth, 1977; Juno and the Paycock, 1980; Pack of Lies, 1984; Antony and Cleopatra,
1987; Absolute Hell, 1996; and A Little Night Music, 1996) and a Tony Award (Amy's
View, 1999). In 1988, Dench was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British
Empire. Dench began a prolific stage career with a critically acclaimed performance as
Hamlet's Ophelia with the Old Vic Company and made her first of over 80 TV, movie and
video game appearances with the title role in the TV series Hilda Lessways (1959). Some
other notable performances from her arms-length resume include the BBC TV series A Fine
Romance(1981-1984) and As Time Goes By(1992-2002), Queen Victoria in the movie
Mrs. Brown (1997), Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love, Arabella in Tea with
Mussolini(1999), Barbara Covett in Notes on a Scandal(2006), James Bond fans know her
as Bond's boss M in the latest sequence of the series beginning with Golden Eye (1995) and
continuing through Skyfall (2012). Severalslight indentations near letterhead. Horizontal
