DAMN CITIZEN MOVIE CAST: CO-SIGNED BY LYNN BARI and EDWARD PLATT
Shown together in a scene from the 1958 film Damn Citizen in this black and white publicity photograph.
Photograph signed: "Good Luck!/Lynn Bari" and "Ed/Platt", B/w 10x8. Publicity photograph for the 1958 film Damn Citizen. American actress Lynn Bari (1913-1989), born Marjorie Schuyler Fisher, started her career as a chorus girl in Dancing Lady (1933). By 1938, she had graduated to strong supporting roles in A pictures and became a "Queen B", frequently appearing as "the other woman". Some of her most notable work includes Hollywood Cavalcade (1939), Kit Carson (1940), Blood and Sand (1941) and Hello Frisco, Hello (1943, one of her best "other women" turns). She also worked extensively in early TV, mostly in live drama. American character actor Edward Platt (1916-1974) had an aura of authority which usually resulted in his casting as a person in charge. Making the transition from radio to film and TV, he appeared as a juvenile officer in Rebel Without a Cause (1956), as a judge in Cape Fear (1962) and as a doctor on TV's General Hospital (1963). His most famous role, however, was as "the chief" on the spy spoof Get Smart (1965-1970), where his serious demeanor made him the perfect foil. Slightly worn at edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
