Original Art signed: "Dan/Aykroyd/92", 6x9. He has drawn the domed head of a "Conehead", the popular Saturday Night Live skit. One of the most vibrant comic personalities of the 1970s and '80s, as well as a noted actor and screenwriter, Aykroyd (b.1952) got his professional start in his native Canada. During this time he met comedian and writer John Belushi, and in 1975, both were chosen to appear in the first season of Canadian producer Lorne Michaels' innovative comedy television series Saturday Night Live. It was as part of this show that Aykroyd gained notoriety. His film work includes The Blues Brothers (1980), Trading Places (1983), Ghostbusters (1984), Dragnet (1987), Driving Miss Daisy (1989 - Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor), My Girl (1991) and Grosse Point Blank (1997). He made his directing debut in Nothing But Trouble (1991). Lightly creased, unknown residue in lower margin (not affecting signature). Otherwise, fine condition.
