Dan Gurney (1931-2018) was an American auto racing icon, with his career including
being a race car driver, a car manufacturer, and a team owner. He had a racing career spanning
ten plus years, competing in Formula One, Indy Car, and NASCAR. He is infamous for
his celebration of his victory in the 1967 24 hours of Le Mans, spraying champagne on
the podium, which has now become a tradition in race history. After retiring from racing,
Gurney went on to become a full time team owner, managing All American Racers from
1970 until 2011. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
