In full: "I want you to know how much I enjoyed the privilege which was mine Wednesday night of meeting with the members of the Milwaukee Council of the Navy League and the Executives' Club at their joint dinner. At the same time I want to thank you for your part in convincing me that I should attend this dinner. It was really an inspiring occasion. Please express to your associates in the Executives' Club my deep gratitude for their hospitality and the excellence of the arrangements which were made. With kind personal regards, I remain Sincerely yours". Date stamp faint but legible. Dan Able Kimball (1896-1970) was Secretary of the Navy from July 31, 1951-January 20, 1953. He had previously served as Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Air (February 1949-May 1949) and Undersecretary of the Navy (May 1949-July 1951). After leaving office, Kimball returned to private business, serving as President and later Chairman of the Board of Aerojet General Corporation. Fine condition.
