"Jeanne/Crain". B/w, 8x6. Andrews and Crain appeared in three films
together: State Fair (1945), Duel in the Jungle (1954) and
Madison Avenue (1962). DANA ANDREWS (1909-1992) appeared in
such films as The Ox-Bow Incident (as the innocent lynching victim,
1943), Laura (1944), The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) and
Airport 1975. He also starred in the television series Bright
Promise (1969-1970) and made a number of made-for-TV movies. Andrews was
President of the Screen Actors Guild from 1963-1965. Beauty queen turned
model turned actress JEANNE CRAIN (1925-2003) made her film debut in 1943
in The Gang's All Here and would continue to appear in movies until 1975.
Crain, who received a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for
Pinky (1949), also appeared in such films as Home in Indiana
(1944), Margie (1946), Cheaper By the Dozen (1950), The Fastest
Gun Alive (1956) and Madison Avenue (1962). Slight nick at center of
left margin. Ink stamp on verso (no show through). Fine condition.
