DANIEL BLUM (1900-1964) founded Theatre World in 1945, serving as its chief editor until his death in 1964. Aided by Norman McDonald and John A. Willis (his successor as chief editor), Blum also conceived what would become the prestigious Theatre World Awards for promising new actors in the New York stage, Broadway and later off-Broadway as well. JANE CONNELL (1925-2013) appeared in 13 Broadway plays between 1959 and 2001, with starring roles in Mame, Dear World, Me and My Girl and Lend Me a Tenor. She made numerous TV guest appearances.
