DANIEL CHODOS
The actor's signed letter to the American Museum of Historical Documents, discussing his acting history
Typed letter signed: "Daniel Chodos", 1 page, 8½x11. No place, January 31, 1985. To Todd M. Axelrod, American Museum of Historical Documents, Las Vegas, in full: "I hope you will forgive my long delay in responding to your flattering request of last June for signed memorabilia from my career. The only salient publicity material I can think of is the item which probably drew your attention to me, which ran in both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, advertising my appearance opposite Jessica Lange in the movie, FRANCES. So, I am enclosing signed copies of that ad along with the photos you asked for, and a copy of my resume. The larger part of my income is from my work as a dialogue coach. In that capacity I have worked on a number of TV films and episodes, including WELCOME BACK, KOTTER; CHiPs; and (now) HUNTER, where I am employed as Fred Dryer's coach. My wife is Alexandra; we have been married since May 1983, and we have an 8-month-old baby girl, Hannah, who we think, may someday soon be sending out her own promotional material. Thank you again for your request. Yours." Daniel Chodos is an actor, editor and dialogue coach most known for his appearances in Out Break (1995), Frances (1982) and Death Before Dishonor (1987). During the 1980's he acted in a number of television series, including The A-Team (1984), The Greatest American Hero (1981-1982) and Hunter (1985-1988) for which he also served as a story editor from 1989 to 1991. Before he found consistent roles on television, Chodos worked as a dialogue coach for Welcome Back, Kotter (1978-1979). One of his most recent film appearances was in 2009 on the TV series Call 911. Lightly creased. Fine condition.
