Gélin (1921-2002, born in Angers, Maine-et-Loire, Pays-de-la-Loire,
France) was a French actor with over 180 TV shows and movies to his credit
between 1940 and 2002, most of them in French-language TV and films.
A sensitive and intelligent lead and character actor, Gélin had his early
film career put on hold by World War II. After peace broke out, he starred in
light fare by Max Ophuls and, in 1956, as an Arab spy in Alfred Hitchcock's
The Man who Knew Too Much. Lightly toned, cracked, creased and bowed.
Pinholes in corners. Light scratches and impressions on image (not visible
head-on). Adhesive residue on verso. Otherwise in fine
condition.
