Daniel K. Inouye (1924-2012) was elected as a Democrat to the House of
Representatives, serving from August 21, 1959 until January 3, 1963, when he
entered the U.S. Senate. Inouye was one of the seven members of the Senate
Watergate Committee whose investigations led to President Nixon's resignation.
The first Japanese-American to serve in Congress, Inouye bears the Medal of
Honor for combat heroics with the U.S. Army in Italy in World War II, for which
he lost his right arm and earned the Medal of Honor. Fine
condition.
