Stock Exchange, Inc., New York, New York. In full: "I wish to
acknowledge receipt of your recent letter to me enclosing the address by Mr.
Sidney M. Robbins, Professor of Finance at the Columbia University Graduate
School of Business, on the subject of the Central Market System. I greatly
appreciate your forwarding this information to my attention. Sincerely".
Daniel K. Inouye (born in 1924) has been a Democratic U.S. Senator from
Hawaii for over 40 years (since 1963). Upon the admission of Hawaii into the
Union, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, serving from
August 21, 1959 until January 3, 1963. Inouye was one of the seven members of
the Senate Watergate Committee, whose investigations led to President
Nixon's resignation. The first Japanese-American to serve in Congress,
Inouye was awarded the Medal of Honor for combat heroics with the U.S.
Army in Italy in WWII, during which he lost his right arm. Slightly creased with
folds, lower horizontal fold at signature. Fine condition.
