DANIELLE STEEL
Typed letter from the author complying for a request for an autograph
Typed letter signed: "Danielle Steel", 1p, 8½x11. New York, New York, 1996 May 31. On imprinted letterhead to Miss Maria Pappas, Ogden, Utah. In full: "Thank you very much for your letter. I am delighted to hear such kind words about my work from you and your sister. I appreciate all the trouble you took to send me an envelope for an autograph. A long time ago I made it my policy to sign only my letters, and I'm afraid I must stick to that policy. I hope my signature at the bottom of this letter will satisfy your request for an autograph. Once again, thank you for taking the time to write to me. I wish you and your sister the best. Sincerely". List of Steel's books imprinted at lower margin. In the month she signed this letter, Steel published Malice. In November 1996, another novel, Silent Honor, was published. American author Danielle Steel (born Danielle Fernandes Schuelein-Steel in 1947) has written more than 50 best-selling novels, selling more than 530 million copies worldwide, and 21 of them have been adapted for television. Her personal favorites are Message from Nam, Five Days in Paris and Kaleidoscope. Lightly creased with folds, lower horizontal fold touches the upper loop of the "D" and the "S" and "l" of Steel. Fine condition.
