Danny DeVito signs a document for his movie Batman II.
Document Signed: "Danny DeVito", 1p, 8½x10½. (Top portion has been cut off.) 1991 May 8. Affidavit of Examined Person for production insurance indicating good health, requested by Warner Bros. for the movie Batman II (in which he played the Penguin). DeVito is one of Hollywood's most successful character actors, specializing in comic supporting roles. His first notable film role came in 1975 when he reprised his stage role of Martini in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest for the play's film adaptation. DeVito was elevated to fame three years later with his role as the obnoxious dispatcher Louie on the long-running television sitcom Taxi. His best-known roles in the 1980s were in a number of comedies, including the hugely successful Romancing the Stone (1984), its 1985 sequel Jewel of the Nile, Ruthless People (1986), Throw Momma From the Train (1987), Twins (1988) and The War of the Roses (1989). Some of his more successful producing endeavors were 1994's Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty (1995), Gattaca (1997) and Out of Sight (1998). Fine condition.
