2, and he was heard as the voice of Professor Pollo in the animated TV
series, Captain Planet and the Planeteers (1990-1996). Stage, screen
and television actor Danny Glover (born in 1946), is best known for his role
as Roger Murtaugh in the four Lethal Weapon films (1987, 1989, 1992
and 1998). After making his film debut in 1979's Escape from Alcatraz,
Glover showed his versatility in a long list of feature films, including
Places in the Heart (1984), Witness (1985), The Color
Purple (1985), Beloved (1988), Grand Canyon (1991),
Maverick (1994), Antz (1998, voice), The Royal Tenenbaums
(2001) and Saw (2004). He has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV
movies, including Buffalo Soldiers (1997), and miniseries,
such as Lonesome Dove (1989), Queen (1993) and Legend of
Earthsea (2004), and Glover has been seen as a guest on several TV series.
He is also active in political issues, such as rights for minorities and
global human rights and AIDS, and Glover's charitable donations include the
establishment of a scholarship fund at his mother's alma mater. Lightly creased,
