Baseball Bat signed: "Daryl Strawberry", Cooperstown Bat Co. baseball bat, Special Edition, signed on the barrel in blue felt tip. The 1983 National League Rookie of the Year, New York Mets right fielder Darryl Strawberry was the first NL player to be voted All-Star Game starter in each of his first five full seasons (1984-1988). He was also, of course, a member of the 1986 World Series-winning Mets. Strawberry was the top vote getter in the 1986 All-Star Game and was second in NL MVP voting in 1988. He was voted All-Star eight seasons (1984-1991), was named Rookie of the Year (1983) and won the Silver Slugger twice (1988, 1990). Problems with drug dependency greatly affected his career, ultimately ending it. Strawberry had 280 home runs after his first nine seasons. In the next eight seasons, he hit a total of 55 home runs, retiring after the 1999 season with 335 home runs. Fine condition.
