ink. 3¼x5½. Dave Dunn (b. 1948) is a retired NHL defenseman who played
three seasons with the Vancouver Canucks (1973-1975), the Toronto
Maple Leafs (1974-1976) and two seasons with the WHA's Winnipeg Jets
(1976-1978). Dunn came to notice during his 2 seasons playing with the WHL's
Seattle Totems where he played 109 games with an impressive 29 goals, 68
assists and 97 penalty minutes, making him one of the league's top
defenders. His success continued to the NHL; during his first season with
the Canucks he played 68 games with 11 goals, 22 assists, and 76 penalty
minutes. He only played one game with them in the 1974 before being traded
to the Maple Leafs were he played 72 games with 3 goals, 11 assists, and a
remarkable 142 penalty minutes. After he lost his spot on the Maple Leaf
blueline the following season, Dunn made the move to the rival WHA, where he
helped the Jets win the Avco Cup in 1978, after which he retired. He
promptly was hired as an assistant coach to the Canucks until 1981. Corners
