DAVID D. HARTMAN
The television actor and show host signs this typed letter sent when he was a co-host on Good Morning America
Typed letter signed: "David Hartman" in black felt. 7¼x10½. September 19, 1977. Typed on ABC Entertainment letterhead, New York. In full: "Dear Mr. Russhon: Thank you for your letter and your offer to provide your energy and services for UNICEF. While I would enjoy meeting with you personally, I know that it would be more productive and more positive for you to chat with the executives at UNICEF here in New York city [sic]. As I'm sure you understand, I cannot function on my own in this important project. I will have someone from UNICEF contact you by mail in the immediate future. Thank you for your interest and for taking the time and trouble to write. I sincerely hope that UNICEF can be a positive byway for your talents and interests. Best wishes for continued good health and fulfillment. Sincerely". After starring in two TV series, The Bold Ones: The New Doctors (1969-1973) and Lucas Tanner (1974-1975), actor David Hartman (b. 1935) co-hosted ABC's Good Morning America for several years, hosting from 1975 to 1986, and making frequent guest appearances after his departure as co-anchor. He was also a popular guest on game shows and night time talk shows through the 1970's, appearing several times on The Hollywood Squares (1970). Lightly toned. Normal mailing folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
