Receipt signed: "OK/David Dortort", 1 page, 6x8. Receipt for $58.49 phone bill, lobby calls from the Ilikai Hotel, Honolulu, Hawaii, to Paramount Studios, Los Angeles, California, on April 3-4, 1967. Calls were made during a trip to Honolulu by Dortort and others in connection with the filming of an episode of Bonanza. David Dortort (1916-2010), who had written two novels in the late 1940s, became a TV screenwriter and producer, specializing in Westerns. Writing script for Bonanza in its first season while producing another series, The Restless Gun (1957-1959), Dortort then became principal producer of Bonanza, spinning off some of his duties when he created yet another series, The High Chaparral (1967-1971). He also created the 13-week mini-series, The Chisholms (1979-1980). Horizontal fold crease through center. Otherwise, fine condition.
