Signature from the Pulitzer Prize winning historian in black
ink
Signature: "David Hackett Fischer", in black ink, 6x4.
Preferring to focus on American History, David Hackett Fischer (b. 1935)
has published several award winning books on significant events in
American history and culture. Of his works, two have proved particularly
popular. The first is Albion's Seed, which examines the
development of American culture from it's British origins. The second is the
Pulitzer Prize winning Washington's Crossing (Pivotal Moments in
American History), which details George Washington's leadership during
the American Revolutionary War. Fischer also coined the term "Historian's
fallacy", which is when one assumes that decision makers of
the past viewed events from the same perspective that present analyzers would.
Corners slightly worn and creased. Fine
condition.
