8¼x10¾. Imprinted biography on verso. David Hall (born in 1930), a U.S. Air
Force veteran and attorney was the Democratic Governor of Oklahoma from
1971-1975. Three days after leaving office in January 1975, he was indicted
on federal racketeering and extortion charges. Convicted two months later,
Hall became the first Oklahoma Governor to be convicted of criminal acts
committed while in office. Ironically, Hall had previously served as
Assistant County Attorney for Tulsa County (Oklahoma) from 1959-1962, and
he was Tulsa District Attorney (1962-1966). After serving 19 months of a
three-year sentence, Hall was disbarred by the Oklahoma Bar Association.
He later moved to La Jolla, California, where he became a successful sales
executive. Minor crease (barely visible) at lower left background. Verso is
lightly soiled. Fine condition. Accompanied by original typed, metered
mailing envelope from the Office of the Governor. Two
