David Hedison (1927-2019) starred as Captain Lee Crane on the TV series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, which aired from 1964-1968. Born Albert David Hedison, Jr., the actor was credited as Al Hedison until 1959, when he appeared in the TV series, Five Fingers (1959-1960). Hedison, who won the Theatre World Award for his Broadway debut in Much Ado About Nothing, appeared in many feature films, including The Fly (1958, as Al Hedison) and The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), as well as the Bond movies Live and Let Die (1973) and License to Kill (1989). He has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV movies, been a regular cast member of two daytime soaps, Another World (1991-1996, 1999) and The Young and the Restless (2004), and made numerous guest appearances. He and wife Bridget were married in London on June 29, 1968. Bridget Hedison (b. 1944) has worked as a production assistant for the TV shows The Colbys (1985-1987) and Dynasty (1981-1989). She is married to David Hedison and together the couple has two daughters, Alexandra Hedison (an actress) and Serena Rose Hedison (editor/producer). Lightly toned. Corners rounded.
