best wishes, Sincerely yours". David L. Boren (b. 1941) is a member of the politically active
Boren family: his father was a congressman for Oklahoma's 4th District from 1937-1947,
while his son Dan Boren represented the 2nd District in the same capacity from 2005-2013.A
Rhodes Scholar, Boren practiced law in Oklahoma before beginning his political career in the
Oklahoma State House of Representatives (1967-1975). He then served as Governor of
Oklahoma (1975-1979) before being elected to the U.S. Senate (1979-1994). Boren has been
President of the University of Oklahoma since 1994. Lightly creased with folds, not at
