DAVID LAWRENCE. TLS: "David Lawrence" as Editor, 1p,
8½x11. Washington, D.C. 1955 September 19. On letterhead of U.S. News
& World Report to Mr. H. Keith Thompson, New York, New York. In
full: "Thanks ever so much for your letter of September 15. I found on my
desk this morning a letter from Mr. Huxley-Blythe, but have not had a chance to
read it yet. I wanted to let you know that it has arrived. I notice that you are
a correspondent for a newspaper in Argentina. Is it a daily newspaper? Is it the
only German-language newspaper in Argentina? I have always been interested in
the newspaper situation in Argentina. Have you ever served there yourself?"
