Verso contains the printed caption, "Also by David Leavitt: Family Dancing (Stories), The Lost Language of Cranes". David Leavitt (b. 1961) has written 8 novels to date, beginning with The Lost Language of Cranes (1986), 4 story collections, and 5 nonfiction works. Equal Affections, his second novel, was published in 1989. Leavitt, who is gay, often explores gay themes in his books. He divides his time between the University of Florida, where he is on the creative writing faculty, and Tuscany. Irregularly cut at edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
