DEADLY HARVEST MOVIE CAST: RICHARD BOONE and PATTY DUKE Stars of Deadly Harvest signed this black and white still from the film Photograph signed: "Richard Boone", "Patty Duke" B/w 7x9.  Deadly Harvest (1972, originally a TV movie) follows the plot of the Geoffrey Household novel of the same name.  Starring Richard Boone and Patty Duke, An Iron Curtain defector Anton Solea (Boone) who has been living as a wine grower in California discovers that Soviet agents are stalking him. He is accompanied by peace activist Jenny (Duke) who tags along as he searches for an escape.  Richard Boone (1917-1981) starred in many roles throughout his career but is best known as Paladin from Have Gun - Will Travel (1957-1963). The show ran for an incredible 225 episodes. He also appeared in some of the biggest Western films of all time, including Big Jake (1971) and The Shootist (1976). After he proved his popularity after Medic (1954-1956) and Have Gun - Will Travel, he earned the opportunity to star in his own anthology series titled The Richard Boone Show (1963-1964). Towards the end of his career, he made one of his more unique contributions to a production: he voiced Smaug the dragon in The Hobbit (1977), an adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel. Appearing in her first film at age eight (I'll Cry Tomorrow, 1955), Patty Duke (1946-2016) earned an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker (1962). Seventeen years after this award-winning performance, she portrayed Anne Sullivan in a TV movie remake. As the star of The Patty Duke Show (1963-1966), she portrayed identical twins. Other film credits include Billie (1965), Me, Natalie (1969), and Willy/Milly (1986). Her son Sean Astin is also an actor; he famously portrayed Sam Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Duke was the first female president of the Screen Actors Guild (1985-1988). Over the course of her long and celebrated career, she won an Oscar, two Golden Globes, and three Emmys. Fine condition.
