Signature: "Deane Beman". 5x3 card. Deane R. Beman (b.
1938), a 2-time golf All-American at U. of Maryland, qualified for the US
Open at age 17, winning two US and one British amateur title. Turning pro in
1967, he won 4 PGA Tour events between 1969 and 1973. Not a long driver,
Beman excelled at the short game, especially putting. Becoming the second
Commissioner of the PGA Tour (1974-1994), he greatly increased the Tour's
financial clout. After stepping down from the Commissioner's office, he
resumed play on the Senior tour, and has designed golf courses. Ink note
(unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
