The Grammy nominated musician signs her name on a publicity photograph
Inscribed photograph signed: "Dave/Love Always [heart drawing]/Deborah/98", in black ink, B/w 8x10. Captioned on bottom margin. Singer-songwriter Deborah Allen (b. 1953) had her biggest hit with "Baby I Lied", which climbed to No. 4 on the Billboard Country charts and received two Grammy nominations: Best Country Vocal, Female and Best New Country Song. Allen, the co-writer of the song, began her career singing backup vocals for Roy Orbison. She later appeared as a regular cast member in the Opryland theme park's Showboat before going on tour with Tennessee Ernie Ford and appearing on Jim Stafford's TV summer shows (and was his opening act on concert tours). Her 2000 CD, Best of Deborah Allen, featured her song, "We Can Get There", which appeared on the Coyote Ugly soundtrack. Fine condition.
