In full: "Information on obtaining copies of LOOKING BACK ... at Live Television and Other Matters can be given to you by Zach Reed, head of Special Projects of the DGA. He is waiting contact from you. DGA, 7920 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, California 90046. Phone: 310-289-2032. He can ship whatever number you agree upon or he can give them to me and I can bring them up with me on June 20. Hope this is satisfactory. Look forward to being with you then." Delbert Mann (1920-2007) began directing during television's "golden age" in the 1950s. He won the 1955 Academy Award for Best Director for Marty, which he had directed on television's Goodyear Playhouse. Manns' films were nominated for 26 Oscars, winning four for Marty and two for Separate Tables. He was President of the Directors Guild of America from 1967 to 1971. Mann was a combat pilot in World War II. Author Barnaby Conrad and spouse Mary Conrad founded the Santa Barbara Writers Workshop in 1973, and ran it for more than three decades. Top edge frayed.
