DEMON SEED MOVIE CAST: JULIE CHRISTIE and FRITZ WEAVER The co-stars are captured in a state of horror and confusion in black and white film still, signed by each of the acclaimed actors Photograph signed: "Julie Christie" in blue ink and "Fritz Weaver" in black ink. B/w, 10x8. JULIE CHRISTIE (b. 1941) made her film debut in a small role in Crooks Anonymous (1963). She starred in three more films before gaining critical acclaim for Darling (1965), a poignant time capsule about a stylishly amoral sexual butterfly. Christie won numerous awards for Darling, not the least of which were the British Film Academy Award and the American Oscar. Subsequent films include: Doctor Zhivago (1965), Fahrenheit 451 (1967) and Far From the Madding Crowd (1967). She hooked up with Warren Beatty and starred with him in three major films of the 1970s: McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971), Shampoo (1975) and Heaven Can Wait (1978). FRITZ WEAVER (1926-2016) won a Best Actor Tony and a Drama Desk Award for Child's Play (1970). He had already won a Theatre World Award, and had been nominated for a Tony earlier for The Chalk Garden (1955-1956). He earned an Emmy nomination for his role as Dr. Josef Weiss in the TV miniseries Holocaust (1978). He was also seen in many TV science fiction and fantasy shows, including Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Star Trek and X-Files. Since the mid-1990s, he has performed mostly voice over roles, including many narrations for the History Channel. Weaver was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame in 2010. His sister is art director Mary Weaver Dodson; his son is horror novelist Fritz Weaver. Corners rounded. Ink notes on verso in unknown hand. Fine condition.
