Picture Minimum Free-lance Weekly Contract". DuBarry contracts with E.M.I. Television
Programs, Inc. to appear as "Susan" in the 1978 made-for-TV movie, Deadman's
Curve, a biopic about the rock 'n' roll singing duo, Jan and Dean (the real Jan Berry
would appear in the film in an uncredited cameo role). She is to be paid $1,000.00 for her
work, which will begin on or about October 14, 1977. Also signed: "Pat Rooney" as
Producer. DuBarry's social security number blacked out to left of signature. Lightly creased
with folds, not at signatures. Staple holes at upper left corner, two file holes at upper blank
margin. Ink initials (unknown hand) at upper left margin. Fine condition. Accompanied by

receive co-star billing on the end titles only." Rooney has initialed: "PR" beneath billing

blank margin. Usual black marks from photocopying. Fine condition. The made-for-TV
movie, Deadman's Curve, was first aired on February 3, 1978. Richard Hatch starred
as Jan Berry and Bruce Davison co-starred as Dean Torrence and DuBarry played
"Susan" in the film, which was directed by Richard Compton. PAT ROONEY was the
Producer. She had previously produced Black Eye (1974), and Rooney was the executive
producer of Fools (1970). Deadman's Curve was DuBarry's first made-for-TV movie -
and her acting debut. In 1978, the year the film was released, she also appeared in a
feature film, Skateboard, and DuBarry was seen as a guest on episodes of two TV
series, Baa Baa Black Sheep and ChiPs. DENISE DuBARRY (1956-2019) is both an
actress and a businesswoman, serving as President of Thane International, a fitness
company, and Xebec Productions. DuBarry has appeared in several other made-for-TV
movies, including Crisis in Mid-air (1979) and Top of the Hill (1980), as well as such feature
films as Being There (1979), The Devil and Max Devlin (1981) and Monster in the Closet. She
has also been seen as a guest star on several TV series, including ChiPs, A Man Called
Sloane, The Love Boat, Charlie's Angels and Trapper John, M.D. DuBarry, who was married
to her first husband, actor Gary Lockwood, from 1982 until their divorce in 1988, is the
mother of actress Samantha Lockwood. Two items.
