Dennis Cole signed standard AFTRA contract to appear on Stump The
Stars
Contract signed: "Dennis Cole" as Performer, 2 pages, 8½x11,
front and verso. No place, 1970 February 7. "Standard AFTRA Engagement
Contract For Single Television Broadcast and For Multiple Television Broadcasts
Within One Calendar Week" in which Mike Stokey Enterprises, Inc. contracts
for Cole's appearance on the game show, Stump The Stars. Cole was
to be paid $500 for "five shows in one day", to be taped at KTTV on February 7,
1970. Stump the Stars, hosted by Mike Stokey, ran only one season
(1962-1963) on the networks. This contract is for a local version of the show,
taped at the KTTV studios in Los Angeles. At the time he signed this
contract, Cole was starring as Davey Evans on the TV series, Bracken's
World. Model turned actor DENNIS COLE (1940-2009) made his first
film appearances in 1961's The Comancheros (uncredited) and as an
uncredited extra, double, stuntman and chorus dancer in Bye Bye Birdie
(1963). Although he appeared in a number of feature films, Cole is best known
for his television work. He starred on several series, including
Felony Squad (1966-1969) and Bracken's World
(1969-1970), and on the daytime soap, The Young and The Restless
(1981-1982). Cole also made guest appearances on TV series from 1969 (Judd
for the Defense) to 1998 (Pacific Blue), including guest spots on
Murder, She Wrote and multiple roles on Fantasy Island, The
Love Boat and Charlie's Angels. Cole was married to his second
wife, actress Jaclyn Smith from 1978 until their divorce in 1981. Lightly
creased with folds, not at signature. Staple holes at upper left blank corner,
nicked at upper edge. Fine condition.
