After the war he worked freelance in advertising until some of his characters were picked up and developed in the Daily Mirror, turning into the very popular comic strip, "The Perishers", which first appeared in print in 1958. Collins retired in 1983 and was awarded Humourous Strip Cartoonist of the year by the Cartoonists club. Toned. Creased throughout. Irregularly cut. Otherwise, fine condition.
