The stage and screen actor known for his soap roles signs this index card in black ink
Inscribed Signature: “Hi Joe!/ Dennis Parlato” in black ink, 5x3. Dennis Parlato (b. 1947) is
an actor, dancer, and singer. Before he decided to pursue a career as a performer, Parlato
was a high school English teacher. Upon seeing a ballet performance at the Nederlands Dans
Theater, Parlato decided to study ballet, eventually joining the Oakland Ballet as a
featured solo dancer. After auditioning extensively, he finally landed a part in the 1977
Broadway run of A Chorus Line. He was then able to receive valuable formal training and
went on to land a fair number of roles in both Broadway and Off-Broadway Productions a
few of which include Chess (1988), Romance/Romance (1986), and When We Dead Awaken
(2002). In addition to his various stage roles, Parlato has appeared in a handful of film and
on several soap operas; he played Michael Grande on One Life to Live from 1989 to
1990, Clay Alden on Loving from 1992 to 1995, and Roger Thorpe on Guiding Light
from 1997 to 1998. Lightly toned. Pencil note on verso in an unknown hand. Otherwise, fine
condition.
