A former basketball star at U.C.L.A., Denny Miller (born in 1934), who was also sometimes billed as Denny Scott Miller and Scott Miller, made his film debut in 1958's Some Came Running. The following year, he became film's first blond Tarzan, starring in Tarzan, The Ape Man. Although he made several feature films, Miller is best known for his TV work, starring as scout Duke Shannon on Wagon Train (1961-1964) and as Mike McCluskey on Mona McCluskey (1965-1966), and making numerous guest appearances on shows from Northwest Passage (1959) to Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1996). Miller has also appeared in television commercials, starring as Big Wally in the early 1970s and appearing in yellow rain gear as "The Gorton Fisherman" until early 2005.)
