ANTHONY QUAYLE (1913-1989), the talented star of stage, film, television and audiocassette recordings, was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award in 1969 for Anne of the Thousand Days. His other feature films include The Guns of Navarone (1961), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Operation Crossbow (1965) and MacKenna's Gold (1969). British stage, screen and television actress SLYVIA SYMS (b.1934) made her film debut in 1956 in My Teenage Daughter. She has been nominated for British Academy Awards for Best Actress (Woman in a Dressing Gown, 1957; No Trees in the Street, 1958) and Best Supporting Actress (The Tamarind Seed, 1974). In addition to leading and later character roles in such films as The Moonraker (1958) and The World of Suzie Wong (1960) and Operation Crossbow (1965), Syms has been active on television, appearing in several TV series, miniseries and made-for-TV movies. She is the mother of actress Beatie Edney. Corners rounded and slightly creased. Slightly toned. Ink notes on verso in unknown hand. Light surface creases. Otherwise, fine condition.
