Inscribed publicity photo for the film I Married a Woman.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Mick/Sincerely yours/Diana Dors". B/w, 8x10 overall, image 7¼x9 (one surface). Captioned publicity photo for the film 1956 film I Married a Woman. British actress Diana Dors (1931-1984), born Diana Fluck, was promoted in the 1950s as "the English Marilyn Monroe". A former student of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Dors was a stage performer from adolescence and debuted in films at the age of 15, rising to stardom as a sexy "party girl". Her film credits include Oliver Twist (1948), Lady Godiva Rides Again (1951), Beserk! (1967), There's a Girl in My Soup (1970) and Adventures of a Private Eye (her last film, released in 1987). Dors, who devoted her last years to religious and charity work, was married to comedian/TV emcee Richard Dawson, her second husband, from 1959-1966 (the couple had two children). The film featured here cast Dors as the unlikely bride of low-key comedian George Gobel. Small moisture spot to last name of signature. Otherwise, fine condition.
