Sale Price $18.00
Black and white 3¼x5½ picture postcard of a younger Clark holding a microphone
Picture Photograph unsigned, Facsimile signature and note on verso. B/w, 3¼x5½. Clark began as a radio disc jockey on WFIL in 1952, then took over the local Bandstand program which went on national TV as AMERICAN BANDSTAND (1957). Clark hosted the show for thirty years, and - especially in the early years - exerted a great influence on the styles and musical tastes of young Americans. At the same time, Clark's strict dress code and preference for milder music helped rock music gain acceptance by parents. He has also hosted TV specials and game shows, and promoted the American Music Awards as an alternative to the Grammys. Corners lightly worn. Worn on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
