DICK MILLER Letter from the stage and film actor asking if the world can achieve peace, answering yes, "if we understand the obligation and real contribution" that we all must possess to achieve it Autograph letter signed: "Dick Miller", in black ink, 1 page, 6¼x8½. In part: "Dear Alan - I am not familiar with your group, but if it can bring hope and peace and understanding to young people, I am with you. Yes, I believe we can live in peace if we understand obligation and real contribution. We have an obligation to know that we are responsible for our own lives…I hope you are doing the right thing, if so, the best of luck forever". Actor Dick Miller (1928-2019) has appeared on stage, film, and television, beginning with his two small roles in the film Apache Woman (1955), appearing as a town folk who shots an Indian, with both characters being portrayed by Miller. Although he has appeared in over 150 film and television roles, he is best known as Murray Futterman in Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch. He also holds the distinction of playing one character with several different personas, Walter Paisley, six times in six different productions. Each iteration has been a completely different version of the character, with the only likeness being the name and Miller's portrayal. Walter Paisley has been portrayed by two other actors as well: Anthony Michael Hall and James Stanton. Corners slightly worn and creased. Slight surface creases. Fine condition.
