DICK SARGENT
A black and white somber headshot of the actor, signed with "Best Wishes"
Inscribed photograph signed: "Harry-/Best Wishes/Dick/Sargent", in silver felt tip, B/w 8x10. Screen and television actor Dick Sargent (1930-1994), born Richard Cox, is best known for his role as the "second Darrin Stephens" in the TV series, Bewitched. Sargent, who had been the first choice for the role, had to bow out due to a contract commitment with Universal, but he took over for an ailing Dick York in 1969, appearing as Darrin until the series' end in 1972. Sargent, who had made his film debut in 1956, appeared in a number of films, including Operation Petticoat (1959), The Great Imposter (1961), That Touch of Mink (1962), Captain Newman, M.D. (1963) and The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966). In addition to Bewitched, Sargent also starred in several other series, mini-series (including Rich Man, Poor Man in 1976) and made-for-TV movies in addition to making guest appearances on a long list of TV shows, from Medic (1956) to Harry and the Hendersons (1992), including multiple appearances on such shows as Love, American Style and Charlie's Angels. Corners slightly worn and creased. Ink notes (unknown hand) on verso. Signature doubled under silver felt tip. Otherwise, fine condition.
