Autograph Note Signed: "For my Friend/George/Best wishes/Dick Van Patten" and, on verso, "George/All the Best!!/Wesley Eure", 5¼x8. B/w magazine photo, 1½x1¾ affixed at lower right. Ink notes (unknown hand) at lower margin: "Actor - 'Eight is Enough' - 'I Remember Mama'/January 27, 1978". Ink notes (unknown hand) on verso at lower left: "Mike on 'Days of Our Lives". A veteran of the Broadway stage since age seven, DICK VAN PATTEN (1928-2015) appeared in 27 Broadway plays, including The Skin of Our Teeth, before he and his younger sister, Joyce, made their film debuts in 1941 in Reg'lar Fellers (reprising their radio roles). Although he also starred in a number of feature films, including Charly (1968), Freaky Friday (1976), High Anxiety (1977), Spaceballs (1987) and Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), Van Patten is best known for his role as Tom Bradford on the television series, Eight is Enough (1977-1981). He had earlier appeared I Remember Mama (1950-1952) and made guest appearances on a number of shows on the small screen, including The Love Boat and Hec Ramsey, as well as starring in two movies based on his Eight is Enough series. WESLEY EURE, who appeared in the TV movies Land of the Lost (Vol. 1 & 2, 1974) and the feature films The Toolbox Murders (1978), Jennifer (1978) and C.H.O.M.P.S. (1979), is today best known for his work on the animated Dragon Tales series (2000-2003). Eure creates the concepts for the episodes and has produced one of the shows. George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. Left edge frayed from binding. Fine condition.
