DICK VITALE - AUTOGRAPH - HFSID 279572
Sale Price $63.00
The Hall of Fame basketball coach and broadcaster signs a 5x3 card.
Signature: "Dick/Vitale", 5x3 card. Vitale, born Richard J. Vitale in East Rutherford, New Jersey in 1939, was a high school, college and NBA basketball coach - his honors include getting Detroit to the Mideast semifinals of the 1977 NCAA basketball tournament - before accepting a color commentator position on the then-new ESPN network. He called ESPN's first NCAA basketball game in 1979, and has since called close to a thousand games, most of them college match-ups, on that channel. Vitale is probably best known for his catchphrases, adding his signature "Baby!" to the end of his sentences when the spirit moves him - and it moves him often. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. Lightly creased. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso (no show through). Otherwise, fine condition.
