DINAH SHERIDAN
Signed b/w photograph of Sheridan in light-colored blouse and scarf
Annotated photograph signed "Warmest wishes/Sincerely/Dinah Sheridan" in blue ink, and, on verso, "Sheridan with one 'R'!!" in unknown hand in blue ink. B/w, 3¼x5¼. Sheridan, born Dinah Mec in London in 1920, is an English actress with over 40 movies and TV shows to her credit. Sheridan is probably best known for starring in the 1953 movie Genevieve. But she started her acting career two decades before, acting on the stage at age 12 and subsequently toured as Wendy in Peter Pan with Charles Laughton. She married Jimmy Hanley in 1942, her first of four husbands, and they subsequently appeared together in a number of popular movies, including Salute John Citizen (1942) and The Huggets Abroad (1949). Her more recent appearances include Angela Latimer on the sitcom Don't Wait Up (1983-90), as well as Flavia on the Doctor Who 20th anniversary special The Five Doctors. She is the mother of British politician Sir Jeremy Hanley and actress Jenny Hanley. Lightly toned and creased. Light creases in right corners and lower left corner. Otherwise in fine condition.
