DINAH SHORE Short noted written and signed by singer Dinah Shore on her personalized stationery as Dinah Shore Montgomery. She was married to George Montgomery from 1943 to 1963. Autograph note signed "To Edwin/Best Wishes/Dinah Shore" in blue ink. 1 page, 5¼x4, on Shore's personalized stationery as Dinah Shore Montgomery. Shore was married to George Montgomery from 1943 until their divorce in 1963. Shore (1916-1994), born Frances Rose Shore, a popular solo songstress, produced such 1940s hits as Buttons and Bows, Blues in the Night, You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To and I'll Walk Alone. She moved on to a successful TV career with a musical show, The Dinah Shore Chevy Show (1956-1962), and a series of talk shows (1970-1980). It has been said that her opening and closing lyrics of the Chevy Show - "See the U.S.A. in your Chevrolet... America's the greatest land of all" - practically defined the 1950s. Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Show-through from adhesive residue on verso touches signature. Tape on verso (no show-through). Light discolorations in left and right edges. Pinhead-sized stain near right edge. Staple holes in top left corner and staple in top right corner. Folded half and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
