Photograph Signed: "Dino De Laurentiis" in blue felt tip. Color, 8x10½. Producer Dino De Laurentiis (1919-2010), born Agostino De Laurentiis in Italy, produced films for more than 60 years. De Laurentiis, who produced several prestigious Italian films in collaboration with Carlo Ponti in the 1950s, is best known for his spectacles. His film credits (as producer or executive producer) include: Attila (1954), War and Peace (1956), Barabbas (1962), Battle of the Bulge (1965), Barbarella (1968), The Valachi Papers (1972), Serpico (1973), Mandingo (1975), Three Days of the Condor (1975), King Kong (1976), Hurricane (1979), Flash Gordon (1980), Ragtime (1981), Tai-Pan (1986), Hannibal (2001) and Red Dragon (2002). De Laurentiis was the recipient of the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 2001. His first wife (1949 until her death in 1989) was famed Italian actress Silvana Mangano, with whom he had four children. De Laurentiis was married to Martha Schumacher, the mother of two of his children, since 1990. In 2001 he received the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He is interred in the Cimitero Comunale Torre Annunziata. Lightly creased at upper edge. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Fine condition.
