DIONNE WARWICK
The chart topping singer signs a contract stating that her image may be used for promotional and editorial purposes, but must be excluded from commercial use
Typed letter signed: "Dionne Warwick", in blue ink, 1 page, 8½x11. January 19, 1965. New York City, New York. News Syndicate Co., Inc. In full: "Gentlemen: In consideration of the publicity to be given to me and which may arise herefrom, my consent is hereby irrevocably given to you, your assignees and licensees, and to the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate, Inc., and it's subscribers and licensees, to use my name, picture, or portrait, in publications for editorial or promotional purposes, excluding, however, commercial advertising. Very truly yours". The talented Dionne Warwick (b. 1940) is difficult to classify. She scores hits on a variety of music charts, including pop, adult contemporary and R&B. She won Grammy Awards for "Do You Know the Way to San Jose" (1968), "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" (1970), "I'll Never Love This Way Again" (1979 and "Déjà Vu" (also 1979). Many of her biggest hits were composed by Burt Bacharach, whose complicated songs require someone of her talent. Musical talent runs in her family. Pop superstar Whitney Houston is her niece. Surface creases. Corners lightly worn. Lightly toned. Small stain in bottom half of document. Otherwise, fine condition.
