In all 16 signatures. Playbill for the premiere production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Imperial Theatre, New York, March 3, 2005 to September 3, 2006. The play ran for 627 performances and earned eleven Tony nominations, including Best Musical. Norbert Leo Butz won for Best Actor in a Musical, despite competition in that category from John Lithgow. Joanna Gleason was nominated for Best Featured Actress. A distinguished actor of stage, television, and movies who is at home playing everything from menacing villains, big-hearted transsexuals, and loopy aliens, JOHN LITHGOW (b. 1945) is also a composer and performer of children's songs, a Harvard graduate and a talented painter. Lithgow got his start in the early 1970s on Broadway. He remained in New York for many years, establishing himself as one of Broadway's most respected stars. Lithgow got his first real break and a Best Supporting Actor nomination when he played macho football player-turned-sensitive woman Roberta Muldoon in The World According to Garp (1982). He earned a second Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Terms of Endearment (1983). Lithgow won two Tony Awards (1973, 2002), three Drama Desk Awards (1973, 1985, 2002) as well as the 2010 Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series for his performance in the Showtime television series Dexter. NORBERT LEO BUTZ (b. 1967) became one of only 9 actors to win two Tony's as Best Leading Actor when his statue for Catch Me If You Can (2011) joined that for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He had previously received a Best Featured Actor nomination for Thou Shalt Not (2002). He also originated the role of Fiyero in Wicked (2003). Butz is scheduled for a starring role in his tenth Broadway play, Big Fish, in the Fall of 2013. Four years after he received a Drama Desk nomination as Best Featured Actor in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, GREGORY JBARA (b. 1961) would win that award, as well as a Tony, for his performance in Billy Elliott: the Musical (2009). His other Broadway roles include a replacement Billy Flynn in Chicago. Actress JOANNA GLEASON (b. 1950) is well remembered for her Tony Award winning role in the 1998 musical Into The Woods. Also nominated for Tony's for Joe Egg (1985) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (2005), she won two Drama Desk Awards (1986, 1988) and a Theatre World Award (1977). NICHOLAS WYMAN (b. 1950) is an American stage and screen actor with an impressive 50+ titles to his name. His many stage works include the Broadway productions Grease (1972-1980, which was his debut), Les Misérables (1987-2003), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (2005-2006), A Tale of Two Cities (2008), and more. In 1978, Wyman took to the screen - making his debut in the television mini-series The Dain Curse. Since that debut, he has appeared in many popular titles including Planes, Trains, & Automobiles (1987), One Life to Live (1993-1994), Maid in Manhattan (2002), Law & Order (1997-2005), and more recently the hit HBO series Boardwalk Empire (2012). The other signers here were members of the ensemble cast. Minor ink smears (legible). Lightly worn at edges. Fine condition.
