B/w, 8x10. In 1993, Lundgren starred as Wellman Anthony Santee in the action
film, Joshua Tree, released on video as Army of One. Actor
Dolph Lundgren, born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1957, pursued an engineering degree
(he holds a Masters Degree in chemical engineering) before joining the
military, where he was introduced to the martial arts. He became a
world-class competitor in Japanese karate, winning the Australian
Heavyweight Karate title in 1982, before he began studying acting in New
York City. Lundgren made his film debut in 1985, appearing in the second
James Bond feature, A View to Kill, and he shot to fame that year with
his role as Russian boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. Lundgren went on
to star in nearly two dozen features, including Masters of the Universe
(1987), Red Scorpion (1989), The Punisher (1989), Universal
Soldier (1992), Pentathlon (1994), The Peacekeeper (1997),
The Defender (2004, which also marked his directing debut) and
The Mechanik (2005, which Lundgren produced from his story). He has also
guest starred on a number of TV shows, including specials on the making of
some of his films. Lightly creased at blank margins and corners, light stain
(barely evident) at left margin. Light impression of writing on verso (barely
visible) at upper right background. Fine condition.
