Card signed by Dom DeLuise with a heart and a smiley and affixed to a first draft script for Smokey and the Bandit II, with Burt Reynolds. DeLuise and Reynolds have appeared in numerous movies and TV shows together.
Signature: "Dom DeLuise/[heart and smiley]". 5x3 index card affixed to a 385 page, 8½x11 photocopied script bound with three brass fasteners. Script title: "BANDIT/No. 00442". First draft screenplay. This appears to be a script for Smokey and the Bandit II (1980), a sequel to the 1977 comedy Smokey and the Bandit. DeLuise appeared in the sequel as "Doc", a doctor caring for an elephant being smuggled by Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed. DeLuise and Reynolds appeared together in numerous movies and TV shows, including Silent Movie (1976), The End (1978), The Cannonball Run (1981), The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), Cannonball Run II (1983) and All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989), as well as episodes of Mike Hammer, B. L. Stryker, Hollywood Squares, Duck Dodgers and even Robot Chicken. DeLuise did not, however, appear in the original Smokey and the Bandit. Comic actor Dom DeLuise (1933-2009) has appeared on Broadway and on the big and small screens. His feature films include The Glass-Bottom Boat (1966), The Twelve Chairs (1970), Blazing Saddles (1974), Silent Movie (1976), The End (1978), The Muppet Movie (1979), History of the World - Part 1 (1981), The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), Spaceballs (1987) and Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), and DeLuise also hosted a weekly summer variety program on TV. A lifelong opera buff, DeLuise has been given the opportunity from time to time to perform with various opera companies. In 1995, he brought down the house at New York's Metropolitan in the role of Frosh the Jailer in Die Fledermaus. Lightly toned and creased. Script has normal photocopy marks. Otherwise in fine condition.
