DON ESTELLE (1933-2003) was a British actor and tenor singer. After appearing on What Makes a Star?, Estelle went on to sing on The Backyard Kids and appeared in a few cameo roles on Dad's Army (1969-1970) before landing a main role on It Ain't Half Hot Mum (1974-1981) portraying the ironically-named character of Lofty Sugden. Estelle and one of his co-stars from the show, Windsor Davies, released the comedic song “Whispering Grass”, which became number one-hit on the UK Singles Chart.DONALD HEWLETT (1920-2011) was an English actor whose best known roles came on Perry and Croft sitcoms: he played Colonel Charles Reynolds in It Ain't Half Hot Mum (1974-1981) and Lord Meldrum in You Rang, M'Lord? (1988-1993). In addition, Hewlett played roles in various British film and television productions. Left edge slightly irregular from being torn from album. Tape remnants on verso with slight show-through to front. Corners gently worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
