Hayworth (1989-1982) was an American politician and US Representative,
serving Michigan's 6th district from 1955 to 1967. A Toledo, Iowa native,
Hayworth moved to Michigan to take up a professorial position at Michigan State
College where he taught for 26 years. He headed the speaker's bureau at the
Office of Civil Defense in Washington, D.C. in 1942, and he oversaw fuel
conservation relations for The Department of The Interior in 1943. A very
successful businessman, Hayworth was the owner of Plastics Manufacturing Co.
from 1950 to 1963. Lightly toned around edges. Fine
condition.
